TAMALE : NPP Vice Chairperson Throws Weight Behind Amin and Felicia Tacorabama

First vice chairperson of the New Patriotic Party in the northern region, Alhaji Iddrisu Sunday, has ahead of the Party's yet-to-be-scheduled Constituency primaries thrown his weight behind the candidature of Alhaji Mohammed Amin Anta and Felicia Tacorabama Tettey.

Deputy Energy Minister, Alhaji Amin Anta and Party regional executive, Felicia Tettey, have both declared their parliamentary ambitions for Karaga and Sagnarigu constituencies respectively and have since been reaching out to delegates ahead of the Party's opening of nominations.

Asked in a recent interview with www.nasaramultimedia.com to give an opinion on the people who have so far declare their interest to contest the parliamentary primaries of the various Constituencies in the region, Alhaji Iddrisu Sunday said the calibre of persons emerging as parliamentary aspirants means the primaries were shaping out to be the most competitive in the history of the NPP.

Alhaji Sunday mentioned of particular interest to him, the Karaga and Sagnarigu Constituencies where Alhaji Amin Anta and colleague regional executive, Felicia Tacorabama Tettey, have respectively confirm they will contest should the party opens up nominations.

Alhaji Sunday said, the two, should they win the primaries, were capable of delivering the Karaga and Sagnarigu seats to the NPP which have since been considered safe havens for bitter rivals, the NDC.

The vice chairman therefore issued a clarion call on Party delegates in the two areas to massively endorse the two aspirants whose candidature he believes will go a long way to consolidate the gains made by the party in the region during the last elections.
