TAMALE : Dagbon Indigines Abroad Donates To Shekhina Medical Center

Tabsong Dagbon Malgu (TDM), an association of Dagbon indigines abroad has donated food items worth over GHC 7000 to Shekina Medical Center, a facility that provides free health and welfare services to people across Northern Ghana.

The donation made during a visit by representatives of the group to the facility included 15 bags of rice, 10 bags of maize, 5 gallons of cooking oil, toiletries, Confectionary
and cartons of assorted drinks.

Mudasir Ahmed Hafiz, who made presentation said Tabsong Dagbon Malgu led by its Chairman, Zuu Bukali Sadiq, was committed to helping Shekhina Medical Center in its drive to cater for the poor as well as provide free healthcare to the people.

He added their visit was not only to make the donation, but appraise themselves which challenges affecting the hospital and report to TDM for appropriate measures and redress, adding more help were on it's way.

An administrator of the Center who received the donation expressed profound gratitude to TDM for showing interest and helping their operations, but said more help was needed to ensure continued philanthropic activities of the Shekhina Clinic.

Hajia Mariama Abdulai David, whose late husband, Dr. David Abdulai, founded the Clinic mentioned lack of personnel and logistics, encroaching of the Center's land, insecurity and legal bureaucracies, burglary as some challenges facing the Clinic.

Hajia Mariam however added despite the challenges, the centre was duty bound to continue the works of her late husband whose passion was to help the poor.
