NSS Blocks Over 2000 Applications Of Suspected National Service Personnel.

Over 2000 prospective personnel who have registered and waiting for to be deployed for the 2018/2019 service year have had their applications withheld, National Executive Director of the Scheme has revealed.
Mustapha Yussif made the revelation at a media briefing in Tamale, adding that the affected applicants by the scheme's checks have already done the one year mandatory service whiles others are suspected to have fraudulently acquired service pin numbers.
He said, National Security were investigating the matter and people found guilty of attempts to by-pass the system will be dealt with in accordance with the law whiles those found duely  qualified will be cleared for posting to begin their service.
Mr Mustapha also said the registration process for upcoming service year was going to be on appointment basis.
He stated by the scheme's arrangement, prospective personnel are required to book appointments online specifying date time and venue to do their registrations.
He urged every personnel to visit the Scheme's website, www.nss.gov.gh, to book appointment whiles those without appointment will not be served at the various registration centers.
The former MP for Yagaba /Kubori also appealed to personnel who have challenges to contact any of the Scheme's offices nationwide.
According to him, the Scheme may consider the reposting of personnel who are already working to their respective institutions,pregnant women and physical challenged.
Mr Yussif Mustapha added the Scheme's services are free and urged prospective service personnel to report anybody who demanded money before resolve their problems or change their places of posting.
